<-M.a.B->
Constitution
<-M.a.B->
are one of the oldest and most respected FPS gaming clans. We provide a number
of servers which host MoHAA, CoDUO,
CoD 2, Battlefield 2.
Finance is provided by
the Subbies who pay for the day to day running of the
servers and are the pool of resource from which the clan officers are chosen.
We aim to provide a safe
reliable gaming environment for all members/guests. Hopefully you will develop
friendships and learn a little about your favourite game. Enjoy your stay and
happy gaming.
<-M.a.B->Subbie Members
(paying membership)
Subbies pay for the servers, have the right to vote and to
stand as an officer of the clan. These
rights are granted in return for cold, hard cash as we find that trying to pay
for the servers with promises and goodwill just doesn’t work. However not just anyone can become a subbie, money can’t buy this type of membership, you need
to have proved your worth to the clan and the existing subbies
over a sustained period of time. Anyone
can apply to become a subbie but only those that are
chosen by the other subbie’s actually are allowed to
enter the inner sanctum that runs the clan for the good of all.
Any voting required within the clan will be posted
as a poll within the subbie section of the forums,
majority vote wins. In the event of a
draw another poll will need raised. On
urgent votes, polls will be carried out by a show of lights in TS.

<-M.a.B->Server Admins (SA)
All subbies
have Server Admin authority, they are expected to share the day to day
‘in-game’ administration of the clan servers:
Policing the game server via rcon
Reporting any ban's via the forums
Promote recruitment of appropriate players
Management of TS users where required
Server Admins will be
recognised in TS by the addition of SA after there names, all subbies have SA status.
<-M.a.B->Members
The Role of the <-M.a.B->
member is to simply to be online and play as much as
possible, attend training whenever possible and to promote a good gaming
atmosphere on the server.
<-M.a.B->Inactivity
The Clan reserves the right to remove any member of
<-M.a.B-> for inactivity. If you know that you
are going to be absent for a period of time, let us know. If you are going to be unavoidably detained
by Her Majesty, let us know. We love and
cherish all our members and miss them terribly when they go astray, by letting
us know that you wont be about you ensure that we don’t get those feelings of
dejection and rejection.
Naturally
this rule doesn’t apply to subbies (as long as they
continue to pay) we find that cash never offends and that the monthly payment
keeps any feeling of rejection at bay.
<-M.a.B->Recruits
<-M.a.B-> enforce a
strict recruitment policy which is stringent yet strangely appealing. All new members are subjected to a trial
period (Usually 30 days but its dependent on attendance on the servers, forum
and TS) during which time it is assessed whether the applicant is made of the
‘right stuff’. We don’t accept under
16’s unless they are the offspring of a current adult member (If they were the
offspring of a junior member we would be surprised and shocked and not know
where to look when the subject was raised).
Recruiting is by invitation only and even then can only be made after an
appropriate post in the ‘Join Us’ section of the forums.
The actual role of the recruit is similar to that of
the member. They should keep in touch
with clan activity and show high levels of gaming and forum activity. Once you have reached the time to become a
full member a Recruitment Officer will inform you and also upgrade your forum
access level. ![]()
<-M.a.B->Behaviour
We are a family clan who want to play in an
atmosphere which is appropriate for all our members as such we do not tolerate
in the forums or on the game servers:
Swearing, including
abbreviations and euphemisms
Disruptive Activity
Any Form of Racism
Disrespect of, or to,
the individual
Cheating accusations
Flaming
Trolling
Some of these areas are subjective and Clan Admin
will initially warn offenders that their behaviour is causing offence, if
necessary repeat offenders will be removed from the clan and their rights
revoked.
If a member is involved the following actions will
generally be followed although the admin can escalate as appropriate:
1. A written request to immediately cease whatever
is causing the problem will be sent to all parties involved.
2. In event of the problem continuing, the Admin
Team will try and get the parties involved for a meeting in Team Speak and
attempt to reach a mutual agreement. The decisions taken at this meeting will
be final.
3. If the situation still continues, then action
will be taken to stop the problem(s). This may include any or all the
following;
a) A ban from
TeamSpeak and/or Matches
b) A temporary
ban of one or more members.
c) A reduction in status i.e. from
Member to Guest.
d) Removal from the clan.
If a non-member is causing offence then again they
will be warned (Admin reserve the right to ban immediately if the offence
warrants it) and if the warnings are not heeded the non-member will be banned
from the servers and/or the forums.
<-M.a.B->Matchplay/Leagues
The Clan Captains and War Arranger (WA) will enter
the clan into Leagues where we will play other clans,
in addition we will play friendlies from time to
time.
You should ‘meet’ 15 minutes prior to matches in TS
where the captain will choose the team for the match. All those who put themselves forward for the
match MUST be able to play for the duration of the entire match.
During all matches the following clan standards will
apply:
a) No
cheat accusations or slurs will be made against opponents, it damages the
reputation of the clan and is unacceptable (If you have had serious doubts
about another player please post within the members area after the match
describing your thoughts, Clan Admin will take appropriate action).
b)
Listen to your appointed Captain and follow instructions given (Ideally
you will have learnt the clan tactics while attending training).
c)
Appropriate Clan Tags to be worn at all times (See separate section
which covers how to display them correctly).
d) TS to be used and appropriate
communication is needed to ensure that the team know
what is happening in your part of the map (Again, See separate section which
covers how to use it correctly).
e) Never join a TS match channel when a game
is underway, no one wants to hear you ask ‘have you started yet?’ or ‘can I
play?’ or any other inane question you might have dreamt up.
<-M.a.B->Tags
When playing on <-M.a.B->
or any other servers, your clan tags shall be correctly displayed. Getting your
tags is considered an honour and you should treat them in the appropriate
manner. They should be displayed as
follows:
Medal of Honor:
<-M.a.B->Nickname
Or
<-M.a.B->Nickname.Rct
Or
<-M.a.B->Nickname.Jnr
Call of Duty: United Offensive/Call of Duty 2
NOTE: When playing call
of duty it is essential that you colour your <-M.a.B->
Tags correctly. The current tag colours are green (^2) for <-M.a.B-> and red (^1) for your nickname.
^2<-M.a.B->^1Nickname
Or
^2<-M.a.B->^1Nickname.Rct
Or
^2<-M.a.B->^1Nickname.Jnr
Please Note: Correctly configured CoD:UO/CoD2 tags
will appear as <-M.a.B->Nickname in the scores/stats display. Names appearing as
^2<-M.a.B->^1Nickname look untidy and must be changed.
<-M.a.B->Teamspeak
Teamspeak is the voice tool of choice at <-M.a.B->, it allows players to discuss or adjust tactics,
exchange banter, communicate with other clans and contact Admins
quickly and easily and its free!!. Many members use TS as it adds to the
enjoyment of gaming and enhances the clan overall as friendships develop.
Server Admins will generally try and be around on TS
during the day to assist in any problems which may arise.
When using TS, the public lobby is exactly that, a
lobby for the use of the general public. Use the game Channels. It defeats the
object of having other channels and is inconsiderate to just sit in the public
lobby
Teamspeak should be set up for ‘PUSH TO TALK’, voice
activated TS usage is not permitted as it causes disruption and no one wants to
hear your expletives/sighs/crying/heavy breathing when you are fragged/killed/bashed by more talented players.
In order to play in a match you MUST have TS set up
and running correctly. Never join a match channel and speak during the round as
it may cause disruption.
Please remember that while TS should be operated as
‘push to talk’ this does not mean that it is acceptable to have TV/music/radio
blaring in the background, most members don’t want to
hear your eclectic musical tastes.
However much we might want to listen to your beautiful voice we can do
without the Gregorian chanting/screaming banshee/howling wolf/stuck
pig/enthusiastic partner in the background.
Remember TS is also for public use and youngsters may be online,
However we do suggest that children who may be
offended do not use TS after 10 O` Clock pm as Members may be oiled by then and
verbalise in colloquials
Finally, you must not, kick, mute or ban anyone
without good cause.
Registering With Teamspeak
1. ask any TS Server
Admin (SA) to grant 'Registration Permission'
2. go to the self menu and click Register with server
3. type in your name (as it currently is on TS) and
your own personal password
4. be sure to exit Teamspeak
using the Quit function in the Connect menu
5. next time you access Teamspeak,
ensure that within your local address book (under connection > Connect) you
check the 'registered' box and apply your username/password.
Note: changing your name may also void your registration until you change it
back.
Teamspeak Rules
You should also be aware that there are certain
rules and etiquette that are enforced.
* Respect other players at all times
* No Swearing is permitted
* No verbal abuse intended to cause offence is permitted
* No Vulgar noises and/or activities are permitted
* No 'Open' mic is permitted, ALL members MUST use
the push to talk function
* Use of the 'Kick' function is only permitted with just and fair cause
* Move players from room to room in a responsible and respectful manner, server
Admins may move a player or players from a game
channel at any time without permission as needed.
* Do not allow non-<-M.a.B->members into rooms
other than the public rooms or another temporary channel.
* Guests found in temporary channels without a <-M.a.B->
member present may be questioned and possibly asked to leave (
or risk being kicked).
<-M.a.B->Server Contributions
The <-M.a.B->
servers are paid for by the subbies, however we
welcome displays of gratitude and monetary contributions are always accepted
and cherished, those that give gain our respect and admiration. This being
said, donations do not give special privileges within the clan and are always
kept anonymous To
make a donation contact any admin for details.
<-M.a.B->Forum
Signatures
Signatures:
- 400 x 100 pixels
- animated allowed
- for now no max size, we expect people to keep it reasonable
We will allow 3 lines underneath a sig (this for
quotes and that sort of things)
OR
for the people that want to show their xfire, there
is a Miniprofile called: 'Short and Wide' which is 450
x 34 pixels
Anyone outside these guidelines may have their
signature code removed and replaced with a message stating why and how to fix
etc.
Cheating
We do not tolerate any form of cheating on our
servers. Cheating defeats the object of
the games we play, we despise the small minded, incapable creatures who can only ‘win’ by cheating and delight in banning them
wherever possible.
Any member who has been caught cheating will be
removed from the clan without further notice. Any player who is caught cheating
will also be named and shamed on our forums, they will
be banned from the forums and the servers, never to return.
Where there is the opportunity to impose a ban via Punkbuster the cheaters details will be passed to Evenbalance to ensure the imposition of a global ban.
The clan SA staff reserve the right to screenshot
any member or member of the public at any time while on the server. This is NOT
an accusation of cheating, but helps us protect the integrity of the clan.
Visitors who are screen shotted will be told honestly
that we occasionally check our own members at random.
Your assistance during any screen shots is greatly
appreciated.
Failure to provide screenshots could result in
removal from <-M.a.B->
